In the mid-afternoon hours of Friday the Fame Fire Company received a call for an accident reported serious.  The accident, which was located at Route 202 and Matlack St was reported to have involved 5 vehicles with one victim entrapped.  Rescue 53 arrived onscene at 1239 hours and immediately started with the extrication.  Extrication was complete at 1247.  Victims were transported by ground to area hospitals due to inclement weather.  Police are investigating.

 


DWELLING FIRE IN BORO

In the early morning of Friday December 11, the Fame Fire Co. along with the First West Chester Fire Company (51) were alerted to a possible dwelling fire in the borough.  Almost immediately after dispatch, the call was upgraded to a Working Dwelling, bringing Goodwill (52) as the RIT assignment.  51 crews made an aggressive interior attack as members of 53 ventilated and searched the properties.  The fire was contained to one half of the double on the 2nd and 3rd floors.
