It is with a very heavy heart that we must inform you of the passing of one of our own. Jim "Lt Dan" McCabe passed away yesterday morning after a very valiant fight against cancer. Jim was a life member and active firefighter with Fame. He was a long time Lieutenant and mentored many, many firefighters not only at Fame but within the West Chester Fire Department too. His calm demeanor and professionalism on and off the fireground will be sorely missed. He will forever be in our hearts. Our sincerest condolences go out to Nancy, his wife and his sons Jim and Ryan McCabe and the entire McCabe Family.
