This afternoon, as a strong line of thunderstorms moved through the area, Rescue 53 was dispatched as the RIT unit for a dwelling fire in Station 36's (Po-Mar-Lin) local of Pocopson Township. First arriving units had heavy smoke and fire in a large dwelling. Rescue 53s crew split and established RIT and also assisted with ventilation of the fire building. Ladder 53 was also dispatched as the Ladder Company when the 2nd alarm was struck. The crew assisted with vertical ventilation and overhaul. The fire eventually went to 3 alarms, in addition to a 1st Alarm Tanker Task Force. Fame Crews operated for several hours on the fireground before being released by the Incident Commander. Additional crews staffed the station to man Engine 53.

Thanks to Delco Ladder 41 (Newtown Square) and Delco Engine 53-2 (Broomall) for standing by at the Fame while our members were operating at this fire.

No injuries to any Fame members.
