Shortly before 4 pm this afternoon Stations 52, 53 Ambulance 55 and Medic 91 were dispatched to the area of S. Concord Road and Halvorsen Dr in West Goshen Twp for an accident. Rescue 53 responded quickly with a crew of 6. Units found a single-vehicle accident on its side with one occupant trapped. Rescue 53 crew stabilized the vehicle using Paratech struts and tied it back to some trees nearby. Then quickly gained access and performed a roof removal. EMS crews attended to the injured occupant and transported him to a local hospital. The West Goshen Township PD are investigating the cause of the accident. Engine 52-2 provides a charge hoseline while Rescue 53 crews operated Hurst tools. Engine 53's crew supported the Rescue crew and secured the vehicle's battery. West Chester Fire Police assisted with traffic control.
