On this very wet and soggy weekend, several members took part in structural collapse operations training at the West Chester Fire Department Training Center. The class, taught by Bucks County Community College instructors, reviewed building construction and types of collapses. Members also constructed and installed numerous types of wood temporary shoring. Fame is the lead company on the Chester County Rescue Task Force for structural collapse rescue. These newly trained members increase our number of qualified firefighters capable of responding on collapse rescue calls.
