Technical Rescue Training Saturday

August 11, 2018

This month’s Technical Rescue Drill focused on rescues involving impalements, entrapment in machinery and ring removal. While these all may not be “technical” rescues, they often require the knowledge, skills and equipment that our Rescue Company provides. Ring removal techniques were demonstrated and practiced. The next station demonstrated rescues involving an extremity trapped in some kind of machinery. Different rescue techniques were discussed and members demonstrated using different types of saw to delicately remove the machine from the person whose body is entrapped.
