On Friday afternoon, Station 53 was dispatched to the area of Creek Rd north of Rt. 926 for a water rescue. Squad 53 with Boat 53-2 went responding and was advised by CCFR that there was one occupied vehicle stranded in high water. Much of the Chester county region received 2-3" of water over the last 24 hours which caused the Brandywine Creek to rise above 9 feet and flood many local roads. Squad 53 and Boat 53-2 arrived on location and confirmed the report. Crews donned in water rescue gear walked out to the victim with boat in tow. The victim was given a PFD and assisted into the boat. Crews were able to safely walk the victim back to higher ground.

Rescue 53 along with Boat 53-1 also made the response and provided additional manpower. MICU 55 stood by for medical treatment.
