Rescue 53 assists on 2 Alarm Building Fire

This morning at 0228 hours, Rescue 53 was dispatched to assist Station 36 (Po-Mar-Lin) for a reported structure fire. Asst. 36 arrived on location and reported fire theough the roof. Rescue 53 (Lt. McDonald) responded with six and established RIT on side A. Shortly there after, command placed the crew in service and the 2nd Alarm was struck. The rescue crew pulled an additional hose line and began knocking the fire in the primary fire building. Crews began opening up and extinguishing all visible fire. Rescue 53 continued to operate conducting overhaul and fire extinguishment until the fire was deemed under control roughly 2 hours later.

Rescue 53 returned back to the Borough by 0545 hours. The fire is currently under investigation by the Chester county Fire Marshals Office and the Pennsylvania State Police.
