Parade Rules
1. The parade will be held rain or shine.
2. Registration will be open from 7:00 AM until 11:30 A.M. No registrations will be accepted after 11:30 A.M.
3. Judging will be done on a first come, first served basis starting at 7:00 AM.
4. There will be no stopping for pictures in the judging area.
5. There will be no wipedown of apparatus in the judging area.
6. Apparatus must be in service for one year to be eligible for an apparatus award.
7. All decisions made by the Judges are final.
8. The West Chester Fire Department, and Good Fellowship Ambulance are not eligible for prizes.
9. Trophies will be awarded approximately 2 hours after the end of the parade. All cash prizes will be mailed.
10. The parade will start promptly at 12:00 PM.
11. All participants will abide by all local, state and or federal laws.
12. Any alcoholic beverages found on any unit during judging will disqualify that unit.
13. Any display or consumption of alcohol from time of registration till the end of the parade will result in disqualification of that unit and appropriate action taken.
14. Sounding of sirens, air horns or bells in the parade line will disqualify that unit.
15. There will be no spot drilling or stopping during the parade to perform - units stopping or drilling will be disqualified.
16. The 2013 Convention Committee reserves the right to remove any unit from the parade.
17. All animal entries must have necessary equipment to clean up after their animals in the parade route.
18. All participants are expected to act in a reasonable manner and respect the rights of all others.
19. Nothing shall be thrown or distributed from units in the parade line.
20. Fire Department in parade shall consist of two (2) or more fire service organizations marching as a unit regardless of uniform
21. To be eligible for State Association prizes, fire companies and departments must be members in good standing of the Firemen's Association of the State of Pennsylvania. It shall be the responsibility of the host company to determine eligibility of such marching units with the State Association secretary before the parade.
