At approximately 2345 hours, Stations 51, 53 Tower 54 and 55 Ambulance were dispatched for the reported dwelling fire on River Bend Lane. Asst. 51 signed on the air and was advised that PD was on location with a fully involved dwelling and all occupants out. Asst. 51 confirmed and instructed Engine 53 to lay 1200 feet of 5 inch and go in service with master streams. Due to the fire conditions throughout a defensive attach was taken for the duration of the incident. Engine 52-2 arrived and picked up Engine 53's lay and advance its manpower up. Crews remained on scene for several hours dousing hot spots and conducting overhaul.
