Accident with Entrapment

On May 4th, at approximately 22:15 hours, Station 53, 55 Ambulance, Medic 91, and WEGO Police were dispatched to Oakborne Road and South Concord Road for an auto accident with entrapment. Rescue 53 responded with a crew of 6, 3 minutes after dispatch. Rescue 53 arrived on scene to find a vehicle down an embankment, overturned, with one occupant still inside the vehicle. The occupant was conscious with minor injuries. The crew went to work quickly by stabilizing the car with Paratech Rescue Struts. Once stabilized, crews removed the windshield and assisted the occupant out of the vehicle. The occupant was then treated for his injuries by 55 Ambulance.
