This morning around 8:15 am Station 39 (West Bradford Fire Co), Station 55 ( Good Fellowship EMS) and Medic 91 (CCH ALS) were dispatched for an accident with entrapment on Strasburg Road at North Creek Road in East Bradford Twp. Chief 39 (J. Law) was advised by Chester County Communications that he had a vehicle underneath a cement truck with entrapment. Chief 39 requested Rescue 53 be added to the assignment. Chief 39 arrived on scene and reported an overturned cement truck that was mostly full and a subject trapped in a vehicle underneath the front of the truck. Once Rescue 53 responded and was advised of the size-up, a request was made for the Collapse Unit, and it's large quantity of stabilization tools, to respond also. Engine 53, Utility 53 and Collapse 53 responded shortly thereafter with additional rescue technicians.

Upon arrival, Fame crews quickly went to work stabilizing the vehicles and gaining access to the trapped subject. The patient was extricated within 19 minutes of Rescue 53's arrival on scene. The patient was treated and transported by EMS to a local trauma center.

Traffic 52 and WC Fire Police assisted WCPD with Traffic control. The roadway remained closed for several hours while West Chester PD and other law enforcement investigated the cause of the accident.
