Shortly after 11:00 pm tonight, Stations 53, 51, 55 and Medic 91 were dispatched to West Gay Street and Everhart Street for an accident with entrapment. Units found a single vehicle accident with an SUV on it's side and the driver pinned inside. Rescue, Engine and Squad 53 crews stabilized the vehicle and then used the Hurst tools to remove the roof to remove the victim from the vehicle. He was removed from the vehicle and turned over to Good Fellowship EMS personnel. He was treated and transported to a local hospital. West Chester PD are investigating the cause of the accident. Engine 51-1 crew stood by with a charged hoseline to protect crews operating at the rescue scene. West Chester Fire Police also provided traffic control.

Talk about timely training, only hours before this call, nearly a dozen Fame members spent several hours at the West Chester Fire Training Center reviewing vehicle rescue techniques. Training Never Ends!
