At 1950 hours, Chester County Fire Radio dispatched Stations 51, 52, 53, and 55 Ambulance to the 500 Block of West Market Street for the house on fire. Multiple callers were calling to report fire on the back porch of a twin home and spreading rapidly due to the windy conditions last night. Engine 51-2 arrived first in and reported fire showing from Side C. Ladder 53 arrive at the same time and split their crew as Engine 51-2 stretched an attack line and made a push through Side A. Due to the high winds, visibility in and outside of the fire building was drastically reduced as smoke billowed across the street. Engine 51-1 arrived and picked up the hydrant while Engine 52-2 secured a secondary water source. Crews encountered heavy fire conditions on the first floor and was able to knock down all visible fire within the first 20 minute mark. Ladder 53's interior team conducted a primary search where two dogs were located in the residence. Ladder 53's outside team threw ground ladders to all sides of the dwelling as well as went to the roof where an inspection hole was made to see if any fire extended into the roof area.

Engine 53, Rescue 53, Squad 53, and Utility 53 all made the response and assisted with salvage and overhaul of the fire building. All crews operated until 2200 hours before being released by command. FM 100 and FM 102 are investigating.
