This evening Captain Mark Scanlon was sworn in as an Assistant Fire Chief for the West Chester Fire Department. The ceremony was held at the West Chester Borough Hall and was attended by many members of the WCFD. Mayor Carolyn Committa administered the oath of office to Chief Scanlon with his wife and son by his side. Chief Scanlon's parents were also in attendance.

Assistant Chief Keith Green (First West Chester Fire Company) was also sworn in at tonight's ceremony.
