At 0314 hours, CCFR alerted the West Chester Fire Department along with Rescue 54 from Goshen Fire Co to the 100 Block of Bantery Road for the reported garage on fire attached. As units went responding, Chief 53 was advised that there were multiple calls of a reported house on fire and PD arriving stating the garage was fully involved and extending into the house. Chief 53 requested the Working Fire Dispatched bringing in additional resources.

Engine 51-2 arrived and secured a water supply and knocked down the fire with a deck gun while two attack lines were pulled to go in service to the interior of the dwelling. Ladder 53 arrived and positioned itself on Side A and split its crew. Ladder 53 along with crews from Engine 51-2, Engine 51-1 and Engine 52-2 entered the dwelling to make an aggressive push to extinguish the fire. Ladder 53 performed a quick primary search of the first floor which proved negative. Crews then advanced to the second floor and started their search as well as began opening up. Crews encountered heavy fire conditions on the second floor and attic space. Due to worsening conditions, command withdrew all companies from the dwelling and attacked the remaining fire by Ladder 53's aerial pipe.

The fire was placed under control and all hands were used for salvage and overhaul. West Goshen Township Fire Marshall's Office along with Chester County Fire Marshall's Office are conducting the investigation.
