Taking advantage of the recent very cold weather, several Fame members were joined by other rescuers from Chester County and successfully completed the PA Fish and Boat Commission Ice Rescue Technician course taught by instructors from Bucks County Community College. Members learned about ice characteristics, proper personal protective equipment and demonstrated proper techniques for self-rescue, non-contact and contact rescues. The practical session was held on the North Hills Lake in West Goshen Township. Congratulations to FF Mike Hochhaus, FF Matt Cohen and FF Rob Rawley.
