Dwelling Fire in 51 Local

This evening around 6pm, Stations 51, 53 and Ambulance 55 were alerted for the dwelling fire in the Bradford Square section of East Bradford Twp. Reports were being received of fire in a second floor kitchen. E51-1 and Assistant 51 responded shortly after dispatch and arrived with smoke showing from the second floor of a middle of the row wood frame building. Engine 51-1 quickly placed an 1 3/4" hose line in service and rapidly extinguished the fire in the kitchen area. They performed a search of the fire building while Ladder 53 arrived and conducted a primary search of the exposures. Engine 53 arrived and provided additional manpower. The fire was quickly placed under control by Chief 51 and Fame units returned to service. No injuries were reported.
