Multiple Water Rescue Calls

For the second Thursday in a row, Fame responded to numerous water rescue calls. Flash flooding caused by strong heavy summer storms inundated the greater West Chester Area. Our swiftwater rescue team rescued stranded motorists at Montgomery Ave at East Gay Street in West Goshen Twp. This area frequently floods with heavy rains and has been the site of numerous rescues over the years. While our swiftwater technicians are highly skilled, trained, experienced and equipped, we would prefer to NEVER have to conduct these rescues. Swiftwater rescues have the potential to be extremely difficult and dangerous for those involved...including our rescue technicians.

PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE INTO FLOOD WATERS!
