Just before 11 pm, Fame units were alerted, as part of the Chester County Rescue Task Force, to assist Station 5 (East Whiteland Fire Company) for what turned out to be a high-angle rope rescue. Fame technical rescue technicians worked alongside other technical rescue technicians from Lionville Fire Company. Utilizing Rescue 53 as an anchor, crews setup a twin-tensioned rope system to lower a rescuer from Lionville to locate and secure a stranded teenager several hundred feet down an embankment and then haul them both to safety. One of our drone pilots operated UAS 53-1 and provided invaluable assistance to the incident commander and rescue group supervisor.

The success of this rescue is an example of the dedication to high level training and teamwork that has been a hallmark of being a member of Fame!
