For the second time in the past seven day, Fame rescuers were alerted to respond as part of the Chester County Rescue Task Force (Station 72) to assist the Longwood Fire Company (Station 25) for a vehicle into a building that required emergency shoring in Pennsbury Township.
Station 25 was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident along the 4300 block of S. Creek Road in Pennsbury Township. While there was no fire, there was a vehicle that took down a telephone pole and was into an older abandoned building causing significant damage. Fame units arrived and worked alongside units from Longwood and Lionville (Station 47) to install temporary shoring using Paratech Longshore struts so that the vehicle could be removed from the building. Once the vehicle was safely removed, crews then built and installed temporary wood shoring so that we could retrieve our Paratech struts. Once the wood shoring was installed, all units were released by the incident commander.
