Fame has once again certified as an Advanced-Vehicle and Machinery Rescue Service AND as a Swiftwater-Type 2a Rescue Service. These certifications are part of the Voluntary Rescue Services Recognition program administered by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and the Office of the State Fire Commissioner. The requirements for recognition include having trained and certified personnel responding to rescue calls as well as having the specialized equipment needed to mitigate special rescue incidents. Fame exceeds the minimum requirements in all categories. An in-person inspection of apparatus, equipment and supporting documentation occurred in December 2023 and was performed by the Chester County Department of Emergency Services/EMS Council. These certifications expire December 31, 2026.

This is the 6th time we have certified at the ADVANCED Level since 2006 and the 5th time at the SWIFTWATER Type 2a Level since 2009.

Fame’s commitment to providing excellence in service to the community is part of our culture.
