At 0517 hours, Engine 53 was alerted to respond on the Box Alarm with Station 47 for the dwelling fire. As Engine 53 checked up on the radio, Chief 47 arrived and reported fire and smoke showing. First arriving crews encountered heavy fire from Side "C". Engine 53 arrived and established RIT at the A/D corner. Command decided to switch to an exterior attack as the fire conditions worsened and had heavy fire throughout the dwelling. Crews operated for over an hour before returning back to station shortly after 0730 hours.
