Rescue 53 Assists Goshen on Accident

Monday, October 13 at Approx. 09:30 hrs. Fame Rescue was dispatched to assist Goshen Fire Company on West Chester Pike east of Westtown Way in East Goshen Twp. for an accident with entrapment. The vehicle struck a utility pole splitting the pole forcing live electrical wires down onto the vehicle trapping the subject inside. PECO arrived quickly to shut the power down to the wires and declare the scene safe. Once secure, Fame and Goshen members removed the roof of the vehicle and extricated the subject. Subject was taken to a nearby hospital. Fame Rescue was in service for about 45 minutes. (Pictures courtesy of Goshen Fire Co)
