Today we received a letter and certificate from the Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioner's Office recognizing us, once again, for re-certifying 100% of our active members to the National Professional Qualifications Standards through the Participating Department Program.

The purpose of this program is to recognize those organizations that support, promote, and encourage their emergency response personnel to voluntarily certify within the Commonwealth’s Certification Program. Participating Fire Departments have emergency response personnel that have trained and certified as fire professionals at various levels, in accordance with nationally recognized and sanctioned Professional Qualification standards.

This is the THIRD time Fame has certified at the 100% Level, the highest level the program offers. We are one of only 39 Fire Departments in the Commonwealth and one of only SIX in Chester County to be certified at 100%. It demonstrates our commitment to excellence and maintaining the highest standards for our personnel. More than FIFTY (50) Fame firefighters and rescue technicians have worked tirelessly over the past few years to maintain this high level of service to our community.

We are very proud of our members' dedication and willingness to serve.
