WCFD Assists Goshen on the House Fire

Just after 1700 hours, Ladder 53 was dispatched to assist Goshen Fire Co Stations 54/56 on the working dwelling fire on the 900 Block of Westtown Road. Engine 54-1 was on the scene with a 1.5 story split level dwelling with heavy fire from the rear. Ladder 53 went enroute with six personnel and arrived as the first truck company. Crews went to side D of the structure and went to the roof to make a trench cut to stop the advancing fire. Engine 53 was added and arrived on the scene with four. Command added the Tanker Task Force to the assignment due to a lack of a water supply. Engine 53 drafted from a port-a-tank and supplying Engine 54-1. Crews went interior with hand lines and hooks to expose and extinguish all visible fire. Firefighters were pulled from the dwelling multiple times due to loss of water supply at different times during the incident. Fame crews operated for several hours before being released shortly before 2200 hours.
