This evening eighteen Fame members staffed Rescue 53, Squad 53 and Utility 53 and traveled to Station 54 (Goshen Fire Company) for joint rescue training. Good Will (52) and Newtown Square (Delco Station 41) were also invited to attend. Crews were provided the opportunity to work several scenarios. Station 54 staged two under-ride vehicle rescue incidents that the crews worked on. One scene was a vehicle under the side of a 53' trailer and the other was a vehicle under the rear of a full size school bus. Crews utilized Paratech struts, extensive cribbing and airbags to lift and stabilize the larger vehicles so that access could be gained to the damaged vehicles. Crews were able to practice various techniques and gained more experience with the Paratech struts.

All in attendance were able to see what equipment is available on Rescue 53, Rescue 54 and the Collapse Trailer, as well. This was a great evening of training and helped to further strengthen the bonds between Fame and Goshen. The evening was capped off with a cook-out that all enjoyed.

Thanks go to Goshen Fire Company, especially Chief Everhart, Assistant Chief Will, Captain DiNunzio for their planning and hospitality. We appreciated their efforts and look forward to working/training together in the future.
