Monday Morning Room and Contents in West Goshen

Shortly after 9:30 am today, Stations 52, 53 and 55 (Good Fellowship EMS) were dispatched to the unit block of S. Concord Road in West Goshen Twp for a house fire. Chief 53 (McDonald) arrived a few minutes later and reported smoke and fire from a second floor bedroom of a two and a half story wood frame dwelling. Engine 52-2 arrived and stretched a hoseline inside and quickly extinguished the fire. Ladder 53 crew conducted a search and laddered the building. The Working Fire Dispatch was sounded bringing Station 51 and Stations 54/56 for RIT along with Medic 91 (Chester County Hospital ALS). Units checked for hidden fire and finding none, the fire was placed under control in less than 20 minutes after dispatch. The cause of the fire is being investigated by West Goshen Twp FMO, Chester County FMO and West Goshen PD. The American Red Cross assisted several displaced residents.
