Fame has once again been recognized by the Pennsylvania Department of Health Bureau of EMS and the Pennsylvania State Fire Commissioner's Office for it's rescue services. We have re-certified for the THIRD time at the ADVANCED Level for Vehicle and Machinery Rescue, the highest level possible through the State's certification system. We have also re-certified for the THIRD time as a Swiftwater Rescue Type 2-A team. We are one of only TWO Type 2-A certified swiftwater rescue teams in SE Pennsylvania.

Fame was the FIRST fire service in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to be recognized as a DUAL-Certified rescue service several years ago and we have held up that standard since then.

This amazing accomplishment is possible because of the dedication and commitment to excellence of the officers and members of this company. We have received tremendous support over the years from the leaders of the West Chester Fire Department and County of Chester, too.

We continually strive to be the best at what we do and are always looking for dedicated people to join our team. If you would like to join our team, stop by the station on Thursday evenings to see what we are all about.

CONGRATULATIONS to all of our volunteer firefighters and rescuers who each have logged hundreds of hours of training each year to be THE BEST!
