This evening, WCFD Units (Stations 53 and 51) and Good Fellowship EMS (Station 55) were dispatched to the 100 block of Price Street for a reported dwelling fire. Initial reports received indicated a possible intentionally set fire in a bathroom and the occupants were evacuating the dwelling. Subsequent reports indicated possible entrapment. Chester County dispatch upgraded the call bringing Station 52, Stations 54/56 (RIT) and Medic 91 (CCH Medics). WCFD units responded quickly and found smoke showing from a 2 story brick twin and fire in a 2nd floor bathroom. Hoselines were stretched and the fire was quickly extinguished. Searches of the fire building were negative for entrapment. WCPD assisted in evacuating a resident from the attached twin dwelling. The fire was placed under control after overhaul revealed no hidden fire. Crews were placed back in service after about an hour on scene. The WCPD and the Chester County Fire Marshall's Office are investigating the cause. One person has since been charged with arson.

Earlier in the day, WCFD units from 51 and 53 handled a dryer fire at a Laundromat on Hannum Avenue.
