Passing of Past Chief Ralph Watson, Jr

The Fame Fire Company #3 regrets to announce the passing of Ralph B. Watson, Jr. Mr. Watson was a life member of the Fame where throughout his membership, he and his family were very active in the organization. Mr. Watson joined the Fame in 1950 and moved up the ranks at the Fame serving as Lieutenant (1955), Captain (1956-1958), and Assistant Chief (1959-1967) before serving as Chief of the West Chester Fire Department from 1968-1971. Ralph also served as a company officer for the Fame becoming Financial Secretary (1954-1967), Vice President(1973,1975-1977), and then President from 1978-1986.

Viewing:

Tuesday April, 1, 2014 from 16:00 - 20:00 at Della Vecchia, Reilly, Smith and Boyd Funeral Home (410 N. Church Street). Honor Guard will be needed from all WCFD stations. A Masonic Service will be held at 19:00 hours

Visitation:

Wednesday April 2, 2014 from 1000 - 1100 at The Baptist Church of West Chester (221 S. High Street) with the Funeral Service to follow immediately afterwards. Fame apparatus and personnel will be at the church by 0930 hours.

Burial:

Wednesday April 2, 2014 immediately following the funeral services. Internment will be at the Birmingham-Lafayette Cemetery 1235 Birmingham Road 19382.

Flowers may be delivered to the funeral home on Tuesday between 1000 and 1400 hours.
