| Why did you join the fire department? |
I loved a physical challenge. I had older brothers in the fire service and wanted to join. |

| What are your hobbies and/or interests outside of the fire department? |
Sports, hiking, cooking and reading. |

| What do you like best about being part of the fire department? |
I love the fact that we are all a close family. We work together to get things done in an emergency. We are a very progressive department and are very fortunate to have the unwavering support of our community.
I was a paid firefighter for a government contractor near Philadelphia and my volunteer experience was helpful with the challenges that I faced. |

| What is your most memorable incident? |
We had a chemical plant fire and I was on the nozzle of the line that finally put the last flicker of flame out. |

| Fire Department Training Classes |
I became the 1st Female in the entire department to receive certification for Fire Officer I in addition to being elected a lieutenant for 3 years. I had my CDL license for over 10 years with a tanker endorsement. I joined the department in 1986 and my current station in 1988.
National Certifications include: Haz Mat Technician, Confined Space Technician, Rope Rescue Technician, and certified ladder and pump operator. |
