Why did you join the fire department? |
My family has been involved with the Fame for many years. My Grandfather was one of the first West Chester Fire Police. My Father served as Captain of the Fame in the 1970s, and my Brother, Mark was WCFD Fire Chief. To paraphrase a great movie: I was a legacy, they had to take me. |

What do you like best about being part of the fire department? |
I really enjoy the comradery at the Fame. Although we work together as a team inside the firehouse, and at the scene of fire calls, many of us are friends outside of the Fame. The Fame always has, and always will be my second family. |

What is your most memorable incident? |
The Bring and Buy Shop in 1994. A backdraft occured just as we were exiting the building. Who knows what would have happened had we stayed inside. The exact same scenario happened a few months later at the T.J. Rafters fire. |

Fire Department Training Classes |
Not as many as Bill Cummings, but close. |
