Station 53 rescue technicians are NFPA 1006 CERTIFIED Rope / High Angle Rescue - Levels 1 and 2. During rope and high angle rescue incidents our technicians are able to assess the magnitude of any given situation and utilize available resources to safely and effectively mitigate the emergency.
Our rescue technicians are trained in basic and advanced rescue strategies and tactics, resource management, patient access and removal, hazard identification and control, rope management, ascending and descending, basic patient care, as well as basic and advanced anchor systems. Members train frequently to hone their rope skills and have taken numerous advanced rope rescue training classes.
Fame Fire Company is a part of the
Chester County Rescue Task Force - Rope/High Angle Group.
