Station 53 has NFPA 1006 certified Level 1 and Level 2 Trench Rescue Technicians. During trench rescue incidents our technicians are capable of assessing any given situation and utilizing available resources to safely and effectively mitigate the emergency. Our technicians are trained in rescue incident management, trench configuration and soil types, extrication strategies and tactics, resource management, stabilization and shoring systems, hazard identification and control, shoring panel construction, patient removal methods, basic patient care, packaging, and basic/advanced shoring techniques.

Chester County Rescue Task Force - Trench/Excavation Rescue Group.
